Professionals
Professionals working with families often encounter situations where ongoing arguments, tension or patterns of communication are affecting children’s wellbeing and sense of security. These dynamics are particularly visible during periods of stress, transition or increased pressure on families.
This section brings together workforce development resources to support practitioners to better understand relationship distress, reflect on practice, and respond in ways that help reduce escalation and promote more stable, emotionally safe environments for children and families.
Upcoming webinars & workshops
We offer free regional webinars and workshops open to anyone working with children, young people and families across the East Midlands.
These sessions are typically 90 minutes to two hours and provide accessible, bite-size introductions to key topics relating to family relationships and communication. They are designed to complement and support local workforce development activity around Reducing Parental Conflict, rather than replace existing training or programmes.
Sessions bring together colleagues from across different agencies and roles to hear from experienced speakers, explore ideas, and reflect on how learning can be applied within a wide range of professional settings.
